Thank You

I would like to take a moment to say “Thank you” to everyone who has read my website this year. It is an honor that you have taken time from your busy schedule to read what I have to say, thanks! I would also like to say thanks to those of you who have taken a few moments to share your thoughts by commenting on the posts that I have written. It is always a special privilege to  see what God has shown others about the topics that we cover here.

I want to give thanks to those of you who have written me with words of encouragement this year, as well. What a blessing your words have been! I read a comment that somebody made over on Fruit of the Word the other day (and if you haven’t visited that website yet, I encourage you to. You’ll be glad you did.) The person asked in their comment if it was okay to ask questions, make comments about the subject, etc. Tishrei, the author of the blog, responded that it was certainly okay to do so. It reminded me that sometimes people are reluctant to interact with those who write Christian “teaching blogs” (such as Fruit of the Word and this blog) because we tend to write with an “authoritarian” tone.

A little boy was asked in Sunday School to describe who the church’s pastor was. He said, “He’s the man that talks a lot and stands at the front of the church in a great big pulpit, high above the contradiction” (he meant congregation, I hope!) I believe that my own “pulpit” is a little closer to the ground and I would like to invite any and all questions, comments, thoughts, stories, and observations that anyone feels they would like to share. Whether you agree with what I write or not, you are most welcome to share your opinion. I have no interest in arguing or debating about what the Word of God teaches, but I am definitely open to discussing any of the subjects I write about and am certainly willing to clarify any of the points that I make. If you prefer, write to me directly at:

Lord willing, I will resume our study of the Book of Genesis on Monday, January 4. Until then, I pray that God blesses you and yours with a very happy New Year!

To God Goes All The Glory,

Loren
